This park is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Open 24-hours a day. Located in the park is a bronzed life-sized statue of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The purpose is to allow young people the chance to touch and feel the sculpture. Surrounding the statue is over 5000 trees.

The land where the park is located was once a run down commercial area. In 1996, funding for the park became available and the large six acres were purchased. The area now incorporates both a residential and commercial community. Located in the park area are many historical buildings.
